We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Project Manager - Process Controls for our client in Wilmington, NC.  This is a key role so we need an Engineer with strong technical hands-on experience and the ability and desire to build, lead and mentor a team of Engineers on projects from inception through start-up and acceptance. The Senior Process Controls Engineer / SR Project Manager will be assigned primarily to a long-term customer facility and will execute automation and control projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities include project management, hands-on control system development, implementation, maintenance and support (including on-call support at times), business development, and client service management.

Job Requirements:

Ability to travel up to 25% regionally.
Solid background in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical preferred) and at least 3-5 or more years of technical experience with DCS/PLC/HMI systems.
Experience working in the process based industries (Life Science, Chemicals, Pulp and Paper, Food & Beverage).
Ability to develop and execute automation projects from initial stages, including project budgeting, scheduling, creation of scope of work and bill of material documents, and manage multiple contractors (design engineering firms, electrical contractors & staff engineers) until project completion.
Experience with PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell), HMI (Wonderware, WinCC or iFIX) and DCS (Rockwell PlantPAx, ABB 800xA, DeltaV, Foxboro or Honeywell Experion) systems would be an added advantage.
Experience with Process Control Systems and Information System Design/Development.
Ability to participate in technical sales meetings with customers and assist with framing and quoting projects.
Ability to provide leadership and work with project teams to design, configure, and test control strategies pertaining to both continuous and batch control elements.
Ability to plan and organize the work of a project team, including development of implementation strategies for projects.
Act as a mentor for individuals within a project group and resolve issues within project teams.
